These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of 1v1 Chat ("we", "us", or "our") and our browser-based video, voice, and text chat platform (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service. These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.

The Service is intended strictly for adults aged 18 and over. By using 1v1 Chat, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. We may terminate access for anyone we believe is under 18 or who misrepresents their age.

1v1 Chat is a browser-based platform that connects you one-on-one with other people for real-time video, voice, and text conversations, including instant matching and a live view of people who are online. We may add, change, or remove features at any time and cannot guarantee the Service will always be available or uninterrupted.

Some features may require an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for all activity that happens under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us of any unauthorized use.

You agree to treat other users with respect and to behave lawfully and appropriately during every interaction on the Service.

To keep 1v1 Chat safe for everyone, you agree not to:

• Use the Service if you are under 18, or expose minors to the Service in any way.
• Harass, threaten, abuse, defame, or intimidate other users.
• Share content that is illegal, hateful, or that violates the rights of others.
• Impersonate others, misrepresent your identity, or engage in fraud.
• Record, capture, or redistribute other users’ conversations without consent.
• Attempt to disrupt, hack, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service.
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access or interact with the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you share and for your conduct during live video, voice, and text interactions. You retain ownership of your content, but you grant us a limited license to transmit and display it as needed to operate the Service.

Live conversations happen in real time and are not recorded in the ordinary course of using the Service, except where content is preserved for safety review following a report. Always treat the people you meet as strangers and never share sensitive personal information.

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and logos, is owned by 1v1 Chat or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written permission. The 1v1 Chat name and branding may not be used without authorization.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, and we are not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 1v1 Chat and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 1v1 Chat and its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of any third party.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or to protect the Service and its users. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
